Ep #23: Words Never Spoken: Writing the Book on Remorse, Regret & Redemption
Updated: Oct 15, 2020
Chatting with someone who’s sharing their passion is always so uplifting and fun! Our recent interview with Forrest Fairley about his debut novel, “The Young Minds,” was insightful and heart-touching. While talking about remorse and regret sounds like it could be a bit depressing, it’s a universal struggle of the human experience we can all relate to.
For Forrest, it’s also very personal. He lived a very similar experience to his main character, although the real-life outcome was a bit different. In this episode, he shared his own story with us, as well as his writing process.
As a man with an extensive background in marketing and sales, it was interesting to hear about how he used some of the best advertising techniques in developing his book into one readers can’t put down. So far, he’s gotten great reviews and has been told his writing has a certain musical quality to it. He chalks that up to his award-winning experiences in theater.
It’s wonderful to witness how so many, very different, talents and skills can come together to create a dream come true.
